Merit Network has published Press Release Guidelines on its web site to provide Members, partnering organizations, news media, and others with a reference for describing Merit Network and the proper use of Merit’s logos.
The purpose of the new guidelines is to maintain the continuity of the Merit Network brand, provide proper Merit Network descriptive terms, and ensure the correct use of Merit’s logos.
Merit often partners with organizations in Michigan and across the country on press releases, and the new section provides policies for obtaining quotes from a Merit Network spokesperson and sharing the associated costs of distributing press releases. Merit’s policy regarding the products and service endorsements is also available.
