Nathan Heine is a Senior Research Systems Analyst at Merit Network, where he acts as the primary technical contract for research projects, including the National Distributed Network Telescope. Additionally, he manages the day-to-day operational tasks for the R&D infrastructure, plans deployment of new hardware, and helps plan requirements for future projects.
Before coming to Merit, Nathan supported a major manufacturing company being the primary on-site technical support representative. He maintained virtualized infrastructure, supported inventory control systems, and addressed end-user concerns. Additionally, he was a founding partner of an IT support and managed services company completing projects spanning from
CCTV installations to full network deployments and managing large scale device replacement for multiple clients.
