RFP Issued for Network Maintenance and Repair for Merit Network Managed Infrastructure

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Merit Network, Inc. announced today the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Network Maintenance and Repair for Merit Network Managed Infrastructure.

Responses will be received until April 22, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. (EDT).

The RFP solicits bids from organizations who wish to provide full service maintenance and repair services and adequately respond to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of nearly 2,300 miles of network infrastructure throughout Michigan’s Lower and Upper Peninsulas, including Northern Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota.

Merit is prepared to select multiple vendors for fiber maintenance and repair to achieve the best response time in varying geographic areas of the state and to achieve the most cost-effective solution.

This RFP is for network maintenance and repair only. Merit is not seeking bids for fiber-optic cable, networking hardware, construction, or outside plant materials and attachment hardware in this RFP.
