Merit and New Horizons Collaborate to Offer Professional Development to Merit Members

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Merit Network, Inc. and New Horizons Computer Learning Center announced today a collaboration to offer the entire catalogue of professional development course offerings to Merit Members at a 20% discount.

Through this unique agreement, Merit is now aligned with one of the largest independent IT training providers. New Horizons Computer Learning has 300 training centers in 70 countries. It is the largest guaranteed-to-run course schedule in the world.

“New Horizons recognizes and is pleased to work with Merit’s diverse family of services, focusing on and meeting the IT professional development needs of its member organizations,” said Eric Strouse, sales manager at New Horizons. “Merit has been at the forefront of networking and technology, and as an important part of meeting its mission, provides a regular program of learning opportunities. This collaborative is inline with Merit’s mission of delivering valuable resources for its Members. Merit currently offers a full calendar of development courses through the Merit Professional Learning program. The collaboration with New Horizons further expands Merit’s ability to help its Member organizations stay proficient with the latest professional skills at a 20% discount off regular published rates.

New Horizons’ catalogue of classes cover a wide range of topics, including information technology, desktop applications, project management, business skills, online marketing and much more. New Horizons is an official training partner for technology leaders such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, VMware, Citrix, Adobe and Quickbooks.

Class delivery methods include online live virtual classrooms, instructor-led training, self-paced eLearning, mentored learning and private group training.
