November 15, 2010

Starting this year, Merit’s offices will be open throughout the holiday season to provide a high level of support for all of Merit’s services. From Monday, December 27, 2010 through Thursday, December 30, 2010, Merit staff will be reachable for any questions, requests of services, or service issues. On these days, please continue to contact your Member Relations Team for any non-service-outage issues. The Merit Operations Center will continue to be your point of contact for service related requests 24×7.

Merit’s main office building in Ann Arbor will be closed for the holidays on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26, 2010. Also, our main office building in Ann Arbor will be closed on Friday, December 24, 2010 and Friday, January 1, 2011. The Merit Operations Center and Services Desk will continue to operate 24×7 during the entire holiday period (including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day). On these days, please contact the Merit Operations Center and Services Desk directly for network support, services requests, and technical services support.

This is a good time to ensure that you have the correct contact information for Merit’s Operations Center and Services Desk handy and that your contacts are correct in Merit’s database. Please visit the Member Portal to verify your contact information and make any edits. If you need assistance or would like to add new contacts, you can request additional contacts be added via the Member Portal or by contacting Member Relations at (http://www.merit.edu/members/). Also, if you have not signed-up for out-of-band notification via text message to mobile devices, and would like to add this additional means of communication from Merit, please contact Member Relations to include this additional contact information.

As always, network abuse incidents that require an immediate response should be reported directly to the Merit Operations Center.
