Ethernet Routing and Switching Hardware RFPs Released for REACH-3MC Project

Merit Network, Inc. has issued two Request for Proposals (RFPs) to solicit bids from organizations who wish to provide Ethernet Routing and Switching Hardware in support of each round of the REACH-3MC Fiber Build Project. Proposals will be received until September 1, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. (EDT).

Merit has been awarded two grants by the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to fund the engineering and construction of 2,287 miles of fiber-optic infrastructure in the Northern Lower and Upper Peninsulas of Michigan.

Each RFP is for Ethernet Routing and Switching Hardware only. Other equipment is out of scope for this RFP.
