Merit Network is pleased to host an interactive video presentation of the SANS Institute’s Developer 530 course, “Essential Secure Coding in Java/JEE.” The class will be held Monday and Tuesday, October 18-19, 2010.
The course will be delivered via interactive videoconference to several participating sites across the U.S. as well as to the desktops of individual attendees using Elluminate Live! software. You can participate in the course either at Merit’s offices or from any location of your choice.
DEV530 will be of value to programmers who want to build more secure applications, as well as to others in the development process who want a deeper understanding of techniques for avoiding security vulnerabilities. The course covers the essential Java/JEE topics that are relevant to web application developers, and includes hands-on exercises in preventing common attacks.
The registration fee for attendees from educational institutions and state and local governments is $695, more than half off SANS’ standard price of $1650 when delivered in a classroom setting. This is a unique opportunity to engage in very high-quality security training at a tremendous savings. In accordance with the SANS Institute’s policies, the reduced price is available only to attendees from educational institutions and state and local governments. Others may attend for the retail price of $1,650.
Registration is available online, and payment can be made by credit card, check or purchase order.
