“Our goal in adding online participation to Michigan Cyber Range course offerings is to push training to where it’s needed,” said Dr. Joe Adams, vice president of research and cyber security, Merit Network.

“Now individuals and organizations with tight travel budgets or those that may have difficulty being out of the office or away from home for a week have the opportunity to train in the Cyber Range’s world class learning environment. This will also provide excellent educational opportunities for out-of-state cyber security professionals as well.”

Individuals who elect to participate in a Michigan Cyber Range class live online will receive the same experience as taking the class onsite. Cyber Range online classes feature the same live instructor, the same exercises and content as onsite training. Online participants also are able to ask questions and interact with the class around them.

Online participation is available for the Certified Wireless Security Engineer (CWSE) course offered through the Michigan Cyber Range, August 12-15, 2013.

Registration for the August 12-15 CWSE class is available at a 10% discount now through July 19.
