The Broadband Equity and Advocacy Community of Practice (COP) is designed to foster strong peer relationships and collaboration between municipal and county government entities and their employees, broadband stakeholders at Merit Member organizations, and nonprofits. This group is an opportunity to learn from and support one another through the process of seeking reliable, high-speed Internet access for all.
Discussion areas include network ownership models, navigating federal funding, and infrastructure planning, build-outs, maintenance and operation.
The Broadband Equity and Advocacy COP is presented together with the Michigan Broadband Alliance.
The annual membership fee for the Broadband Equity and Advocacy Community of Practice is $299 for individuals from Merit Network Member organizations and is limited to 30 members. During pandemic operations, this group meets virtually only, and participation fees have been reduced to $239. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
As a member you will have access to the Broadband Equity and Advocacy community’s private online discussion space as well as to the group’s quarterly face-to-face and online meetings.
