MERIT MEMBER

TESTIMONIALS

“Having Merit as a partner gives us an opportunity to leverage the power of the collective and to do more than what our limited staff might be able to do on their own.”

Roger Rehm,
Central Michigan University

“At every turn, Merit has demonstrated its commitment to community-building and collaboration. Merit has gone where commercial companies haven’t seen value, helping schools to build collaborations between each other.”

Matt McMahon,
Technology Director Gratiot – Isabella RESD

“With Merit, you get the sense from the people you work closely with in the organization that you have a shared mission. It’s not just about moving bits and bytes from one place to another. They really are about making sure all of our students, patrons and patients are getting the utmost service.”

DARREN HUBBARD
Wayne State University

“At every turn, Merit has demonstrated its commitment to community-building and collaboration.

In the Mid-Michigan region, Merit has gone where commercial companies haven’t seen value, helping schools to build collaborations between each other, universities, colleges, counties, hospitals and libraries. Where shareholders might question the value of investing time in time, training and infrastructure, Merit’s non-profit nature has allowed it to take a longer view and realize how such collaborations can transform a region.”

Matt McMahan,
GIRESD Grattiot/Isabella K-12

Merit is providing a fabulous opportunity, on many levels, for high school students interested in expending their tech skills. The first round of the High School Cyber Challenge is open to all Michigan students anywhere, as long as they have computer access. The second round for those who qualify, is a royal treat. Even the governor takes time to come in and see how the students are doing. We attended the state meet two years in a row now. I can say that it is easily one of the highlights of the school year for our high school tech program.

“Merit Networks is the most trusted technology partner of Spring Arbor University. Their services, from bandwidth to security consulting, are exactly what every organization needs. As the first client for their Managed Firewall service, we have seen their technical chops up close and are consistently amazed by their level of service and willingness to listen to their members for product improvement suggestions. The MITE Forum is an unrivaled gathering that allows technology leaders like myself to collaborate, and commiserate, in a truly open environment. If you are able to be a Merit Member and aren’t, you should join today!”

“Hats off to you and the Merit team for all you did to support this weekend’s Gamers for Giving event at EMU’s Convocation Center.  President Smith and I stopped by the event on Saturday afternoon and the G4G team had nothing but praise for the support from the Merit team and the performance of the network.

As of this morning, they raised nearly $405K over the weekend.  They also had an organization match the first $350K, for a total of over $750K.  That’s a big deal for all the kids in the children’s hospitals they serve across the country who will have expanded access to gaming carts.

I’m very grateful for your willingness to partner with us and sponsor this event!  Your team certainly made a difference in the G4G organization’s ability to expand and raise even more money this year for the kids they serve.”
