This looks like some cute host registration trickery on the part of  I'm amused, and sorry I didn't think of this myself.

Enough said. Similar for The web-based whois client at is giving correct results, as are the gtld-servers, as
does -h

FreeBSD and at least one release of Linux I've tested query by default. If anyone is using automated whois in
production (very likely), check your results!
