Many lists are for technical people to discuss
issues and then other people take the results of those
discussions and those threads to other arenas...
Sometimes non-technical people subscribe in
a read-only mode and they have their "bots" read
the mail...this allows them to track more of the
Internet which is rapidly expanding...
