Merit Professional Development is proud to present the PCI Compliance Workshop. Jason Brown, Merit Network’s chief information security officer (CISO), will share his expertise and help your organization become PCI compliant.
The ability to receive payment through credit card transactions has become an integral part for many organizations. However prior to the start of processing transactions, the organization is required to be compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and maintain compliance annually. This assessment evaluates an organization against 6 control objectives, with 12 separate requirements. Failure to meet these requirements could result in monthly fines ranging from hundreds to even thousands of dollars. It could also mean the loss of the ability to take credit card transactions altogether.
This workshop is designed for organizations that currently have a PCI program or those just starting out. The objectives of this workshop are:
- Learn how the PCI counsel was formed
- Develop an understanding of the various Self Assessment Questionnaires (SAQ)
- Learn how an organization can meet the requirements of PCI DSS
- Understand what documents to submit on an annual basis
