ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Merit’s successful Academy Leadership educational program is now available to organizations across Michigan for on-site training. Organizations may schedule the On-Site Leadership Workshop and Know Your Team Workshop for their locations and provide their staff with training that will inspire and build teamwork.
In late fall of 2012, Merit Network began offering Academy Leadership’s Leadership Boot Camp and Executive Coaching. The three-day workshop received rave reviews from attendees, who found it to be an exceptional experience for developing leadership skills. The on-site workshops are shorter, lasting just a few hours, and provide the same quality of professional development for attendees.
The On-site Know Your Team Workshop is a three-hour workshop that provides managers and team members with a better understanding of their team dynamics. Leaders will receive details on the overall team composition and gain a greater understanding of how to communicate and connect with each individual, leading to collaborative teamwork and productivity.
The On-site Leadership Workshop is a six-hour workshop that helps an organization’s current and future leaders understand their team environment and develop leadership philosophies. The Leadership Workshop is based on leadership development programs used at the nation’s military academies.
Both workshops are available for on-site training through Merit Network’s Professional Services, which can assist organizations with consulting and on-site professional services.

About Academy Leadership
Academy Leadership was formed by a group of Service Academy graduates who became successful business leaders following their military careers. We bring to the table those principles we learned at Annapolis and West Point-self-discipline, commitment to goals larger than us personally, persistence and a will to win, integrity, how to treat others with respect and dignity, and a passion to lead others such that people can identify with the mission and see a clear relationship between their daily duties and accomplishment of the overall goals. Our experience in the business world has taught us that these same principles are valuable in leading any organization. We know, and have demonstrated, that leadership is a set of skills that can be taught and further developed through training and practice.
