A Summit on Collaboration and Resource Sharing
Join us on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 for the Merit Collaboration Summit, a one-day Summit dedicated to connecting Members and supporting Member collaboration and resource-sharing.
At the 2016 Collaboration Summit, Merit President and CEO Joe Sawasky will debut the Merit Commons, a virtual social space created to facilitate communication and cooperation between Merit Members. Learn how to use the space to share knowledge, skills and resources in collaboration with the rest of the research and education community.
The Summit will also feature speakers discussing collaboration techniques and best practices, and the opportunity to network with other Merit Members and staff, as well as vetted vendors.

Merit keeps an eye on current high interest issues in networking for research and education, and develops occasional day-long summits on those topics. Summit agendas are built to provide timely, high-quality information and include presentations made by key national and local experts in their fields.

Attendees of the 2015 Security Summit gained a greater understanding of cybersecurity trends and how to improve the security posture of their organizations.
Topic highlights from our expert presenters included Cyber Insurance, Security Standards for Credit Card Processing, and a keynote presentation by Kevin Fu, Chief Scientist of Virta Labs, Inc. and Associate Professor in EECS at the University of Michigan, on growing concerns over medical device security.
