Description:
One of the biggest challenges for an individual looking to address Internet access in their own community is getting started. The problem may be clear, but how to solve it is as clear as mud. The non-profit organization Michigan Broadband Jumpstart has one mission: helping individuals get their community broadband initiatives off the ground and on the right track. Join this webinar to hear Gary Munce, President of Michigan Broadband Jumpstart discuss what individuals can do to get started and how Jumpstart can help. Chris Greene Hutchings, Michigan Moonshot Program Manager, will discuss the educational materials available to help individuals through the Jumpstart process. Finally Ben Fineman, President of the Michigan Broadband Alliance, will discuss how the Michigan Moonshot Pathfinder Program is helping communities once their broadband teams are up and running.
Attendees at this webinar will:
- Why communities are taking action now to bring broadband Internet to their areas.
- What steps interested individuals and groups should take to begin their broadband journey.
- How local broadband advocates can get the education, resources and support needed to make high-speed Internet a reality in their community.
