Chapin, president and founder of the Hudson Motor Car Co., built the place in 1927 with his profits from the burgeoning auto industry and Detroit banking activities. Ford took up occupancy in the 1950's. The home was bulldozed for an upscale subdivision in the mid 1980's. This page contains three photos.
