Merit's community cloud delivers the advantages of private cloud without the costly expense. Your data and applications are stored within our advanced cloud and housed in Merit's secure datacenters in Michigan. Your data is always yours. Merit never performs data mining.
Merit Cloud Storage provides bulk storage on an enterprise-level array, provisioned using the Openfiler virtual storage appliance. Perform off-site disaster recovery backups of many different forms of enterprise data, including: database and enterprise servers, directories, and project-based data. Merit Cloud Storage supports NFS, WebDAV, and CIFS protocols.
Merit VirtualDataCenters provide a unique virtual data center environment for each Member in terms of computing capacity and storage capabilities to create the optimal system. Merit recognizes that each Member has specific needs and resources to be maintained, as well as varying amounts of information to be secured. Configure your own set of virtual servers for your business, educational, and/or research needs.
Merit Cloud Media provides a dynamic online platform for presenting, accessing, and hosting video and media. Merit Cloud Media offers faculty, staff and students access to rich media while reducing your capital and operating expenses. Members can edit video, create learning objects and playlists, as well as control access to sensitive materials. Merit Cloud Media makes it easy to upload and share videos, as well as attach supplementary materials.
Merit is piloting its Merit VirtualDesktops service, which will enable organizations to centralize the management of desktops. The service will allow Members to access hosted desktops for use by patrons, in computer labs, or on kiosks.
