Special Offerings from Merit Network
Merit Network has negotiated licensing agreements with software providers
to better serve and support our Members. The MeritLicensing Service can provide licenses to Merit Members at a
reduced rate.
Current licensing programs include:
- MeritLicensing - VMware Program
Virtualization is a proven software technology that is rapidly transforming the information technology (IT) landscape and fundamentally changing the way that organizations compute. Merit has an unlimited ability to provide VMware's industry-leading suite of state-of-the-art virtualization software and technological support services. Eligible Merit Members in Michigan that may receive discounted pricing include higher education, K-12, public libraries, state and local government, and medical teaching health care facilities that receive more than 50% of their funding from education.
- MeritLicensing - Comodo SSL Certificate Program
Merit Network is a Comodo SSL certificate reseller and can provide SSL certificates at a discounted price. Merit performs the validation of the subscriber, IP address, or server name for the purchasing organization, and Comodo will issue the SSL certificate to the subscriber.
- MeritLicensing - Zimbra Program
Zimbra's email suite provides advanced functionality and dynamic features for email, calendaring, messaging, and document sharing. Merit can provide organizations with discounted on-premesis licenses for the Zimbra Collaboration Suite. Support subscription licenses are available in one, two or three year terms and may be purchased with new Zimbra licenses or renewals.
- MeritLicensing - Veeam Program
Veeam Software provides innovative applications to for virtual infrastructure management and data protection for both VMware and Hyper-V environments, and Merit can provide its Members with discounted pricing on products by Veeam Software.

and more. Membership is only $750 per year.

- Basic Member Licensing Fee:
The fee is $150 one-time charge (not an annual charge), covering the length of the subscribed program term or Support and Subscription (SnS) term of the license purchased. The Basic Member Licensing Fee is applicable for each licensing program.
Organizations that are part of a consortium or an ISD can purchase licenses under the consortium or ISD without paying a membership fee if the ISD or consortium itself purchases a full annual Merit Membership of $750.
