The Michigan Information Technology Executive Forum: A Roundtable for IT Leaders Merit is pleased to sponsor the Michigan Information Technology Executive Forum, a community of practice for IT executives. The Forum has a unique focus on the educational community within Michigan, and promotes interaction through regular in-person meetings and online discussion.
The MITE Forum—we pronounce it "Mighty Forum"—concerns itself with the problems that IT executives in education face. It is a community in which managers and executives can get help with problems, share experiences and best practices, develop professionally, help others grow, and gain inspiration and support from their peers. The community gathers in-person at quarterly meetings and discusses issues online. The Forum is guided by members from throughout the Michigan education community, with Merit serving as host.
The MITE Forum is intended as a resource for individuals who have the role of senior information technology executive at educational institutions in Michigan, from K-12 through higher education. Individuals from other types of organizations are welcome to join but should be aware of the typical focus on issues of technology in education.
Any information technology executive is welcome to attend an in-person meeting and to consider joining the MITE Forum. Registration links for upcoming meetings are found on this page several weeks before each meeting.
Joining the MITE ForumAnnual registration fee is $250 for individuals from Merit Network Member organizations.
The fee includes access to online discussions, attendance at the meetings and any other
MITE Forum calls or videoconferences.
