Weeklong Digital Media Festival at Madonna UniversityJune 26, 2009By Brian Warkoczeski ANN ARBOR - Aspiring movie-makers from all across Michigan will gather at Madonna University in Livonia from July 13-19 for Project Accessible Hollywood (PAH-Fest), a digital media event created by filmmaker Christopher Coppola, nephew of Francis Ford Coppola and brother to actor Nicholas Cage.
PAH-Fest Motown 2009 is a unique, free festival that features educational seminars, creative competitions, and film screenings.
Academy Award-nominated digital creative director and animator Eric Bruneau will host a film animation seminar on July 14 from
7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Detroit storyteller and filmmaker Harvey Ovshinsky will present a keynote address on July 15 at 7 p.m.
During the weeklong event, attendees can use their creativity and participate in several fun competitions, including the Digi Portrait Competition, Tone Poem Competition, and Mobi Flicks Competition. On Saturday, July 18, musician Ridha Ibrahim will present a free concert from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Merit Network will be providing high-speed network connectivity for the PAH-Fest Motown events at Madonna University, many of which will be streamed live over the Internet.
