Merit Network, Inc. provides Dedicated, High-speed Internet access and other network-based services to the Health Care community. Merit enables Health Care organizations to utilize the ever-expanding potential that network-based technology can provide in the Health Care industry. Whether it is multi-location Wide Area Networks, fiber-optic connectivity to Merit's fiber-optic backbone, or access to Internet2 and its wide array of leading-edge technologies, Merit has a sincere commitment to providing the highest level of service and support to the Health Care community. Internet2, which recently celebrated it's 10 Year Anniversary, regularly showcases the Health Sciences Community at its Regional Meetings and at its Member Meetings and Workshops. Merit serves as a conduit to Internet2's many working groups and initiatives for Michigan institutions, and serves as the Internet2 "GigaPoP" for Michigan. Merit also provides a 24 x 7 Network Operations Center that monitors all connections to our network. Furthermore, Merit is an authorized Rural Health Care e-Rate provider.
