I was always told that it was bad netiquette to cross-post to lists that 
require subscriptions, because if someone does a "reply to all" then 
there's a possibility they will be trying to post to lists they aren't 
subscribed to - which causes those emails to be rejected by the lists 
(and other similar fallout).

However, because I am liberal in what I accept, I believe it's my 
mailreader's job (which is does excellently) to only show me each 
cross-posted email once.
