The fact that what is and is not on-topic for NANOG-l evolves, as you
correctly pointed out, is no reason to not be aware of the
evolution. Try reading posts for a while and then think about
whether you have seen a post even remotely-related to the same topic
before you post something. Remember, it is evolutionary, not
revolutionary. Don't try to change NANOG-l into BOTNET-l by starting
a botnet thread which is completely out-of-character for the list.
