hum... when and how did you first learn of the NANOG list?
a one shot posting to some other list you were on? word of mouth?
a directive from an employer?
the "NANOG" community has certainly evolved over time, including
acceptable posting behaviours... now i am no expert here, but
i'm not persuaded that evolution should stop here, at the apparent
peak of its lifecycle.
If there is to be triage, i'd suggest a return to its core mission,
as encompassed in its name. (or at least a serious re-evaluation of
a strict "north american" network focus.. not EU networks, not
asian networks, not african networks, and certainly not global or
trans-national networks)
as usual, YMMV.
