UM-Flint Job Opening for System Administrator II

The University of Michigan-Flint is seeking to recruit a System
Administrator II to operate and maintain networked systems in a
distributed computing environment.  Responsibilities include:
develop, write, revise, and present complex technical documentation,
reports, proposals, diagrams, and budget requests; install and manage
system software, including integration of networking software in
multi-platform environments (Novell, NT/2000, Unix); assist with the
development of networked systems and disaster recovery support;
resolve system hardware and software failures; provide postmaster
services; and assist with system security and backup activities.

Qualifications include strong written and oral communication skills
and at least three years experience with the design, development,
installation and administration of network operating systems.  A
bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of
education and experience is necessary.  Vendor specific certification
like Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and/or Certified
NetWare Engineer (CNE) is highly recommended.
