mjts Agenda and NAS Beta Test offer
- From: John R. Vollbrecht
- Date: Fri Jul 30 09:09:26 1993
The following in a tentative agenda for the MJTS meeting Aug 3 in the
Kellogg Center in E. Lansing.
Note - Merit has budgeted to install about 25 NAS's in Michnet over the
next year. We would like to start rolling these out later this fall if
all goes well. We would like to do some Beta testing of these starting
as soon as possible. To do a beta test will require that the local
instition provide dial lines and modems (at least two lines). The
initial Beta test will be aimed at PPP users. The dumb terminal
interface will not be stable until late this year. Please let me know
if you thinn you might want to participate in the Beta test. We will
probably be able to support 2-3 Beta sites. I will discuss this during
the NAS deployment part of the agenda.
