As an FYI, the approach I'm taking with this is to add a mnn-exploder
Majordomo list on one of our Majordomo servers. Majordomo acts similar to
the LISTSERV system in that users may subscribe and unsubscribe to the
list at any time without any staff intervention.
If you're interested in obtaining Majordomo for your site, it's available
free from ftp.greatcircle.com. It takes about a half hour to install.
