Novell - IPX protocol presentation

Tim Hayes of Novell is going to be at UM Thursday (tomorrow) to talk
about Novell networking strategies, products and protocols.  This is
part of the program to support K-12 schools.  The sessions are open to
anyone who would like to attend, not just K-12 project folks.  The 
session at 10 am on Products and Future Plans will go into Novell
product plans and will have a time for interaction.  The afternoon
sesson at 1pm will focus on Novell protocols, and may get fairly
technical.  There will be time for interaction there as well.

If you would like to come, please do.  If you are able, send a note to
Dana or I telling us that you are coming.

The meeting will be in the NOC conference room at the UM computing
center.  If you need directions call or send a note.

As part of Project Connect activities, Tim Hayes, Novell Product Manager for 
Router Products (? not sure if this is his exact title) will be here in Ann 
Arbor Sept 17 and 18.  
 
I would like to personally invite you all to attend his presentations and to 
provide feedback to him about your networking requirements. I have set a 
tentative agenda for him which is listed below. If you would like to attend 
the sessions on Thursday, please let me know. (We'll probably meet in the 
NOC ocnference room -- checking schedule). 
 
The intent of this vist is twofold, to help to educate Merit staff (and 
others) about Netware and any new wide-area networking products, and to 
provide information to Novell about the needs of K-12 schools (since Novell 
is a partner in Project Connect).
