Good news from NSF

Eric got a call this afternoon from NSF. They have reviwed the MichNet
proposal for an upgrade of the state-wide network and they liked it.
While we don't yet know how much funding will be available, it is now
very likely that some funding will be available and there is even a good
chance that some of the funding will be available before the end of the
federal fiscal year in October.
