Re: Does irrd 2.1.3 Support inetnum

  • From: Larry J. Blunk
  • Date: Wed Dec 12 01:55:19 2001

  irr_rpsl_submit currently rejects inetnum: objects as they are
not part of the RFC2622 RPSL spec and are more traditionally
maintained by the regional address registries rather than a route
registry. There's been some desire to add support for inetnum's,
but it hasn't been a top priority. The irrd daemon will currently
index inetnum objects, but it treats the address as a text string
rather than IP address or address range for query purposes. The
!u whois command in irrd can be used to add and delete inetnum
objects, however, this bypasses the syntax checking provided by
irr_rpsl_submit. The syntax for the !u command is

!us<database>
<ADD | DEL>
<emptyline>
object data
...
<emptyline>
!ue
