scheduling dbclean

  • From: David Miller

Since dbclean slows down responsiveness of the IRRd, it would be nice to
schedule it for the wee hours.

The manual says that the default is to clean the databases every 24 hours,
but it doesn't say when such cleaning occurs. My first thought is every
24th hour following startup, which doesn't let me schedule anything.

Does anyone have anything cleaner than an expect script to telnet to the
daemon at oh-dark:hundred and issue repetitive dbclean commands? Is there
at least some syntax for "all databases" ?

Thanks,

--- David
