Re: PGP Hanging

  • From: Gerald Andrew Winters

Hello Ron,

This also happened to us on our production server. We have since
fixed it by adding "+force" to the command line invokation
which forces a "yes" response to all questions.

The solution is to grab our latest irrd and rebuild the
irr_rpsl_submit binary. This was fixed a while back
so it is probably a good idea to upgrade since
there have been lots of upgrades over the last couple
months.

As an aside, using a pgp binary is less than optimal with
the expensive fork and lack of control over the executable.
However, assuming we don't uncover some show-stopper we
will be adding support for GPG for which sources are available.
The reason we don't support it thus far is it does not support
RSA keys because of licensing issues. But at the end of
September the licensing restriction will expire and we expect
to add GPG support soon after.

Let me know if you still have this problem or some other
problem occurs.
