Jessica,
If you're doing a "reload" periodically its often because you're
trying to deal with an external event, such as the periodic
reseeding of a database that you don't mirror.
If you are using irrdcacher, it will automatically do the reload for you.
Otherwise, you may simply just want to send a "!B<dbname>" query to
your whois client which will accomplish the same thing.
