Explore the
State of the Art in Desktop Virtualization
Merit Network is
pleased to announce Desktop Virtualization 2011: A
Summit for Decision-Makers, a symposium and workshop
on the state of the art in desktop virtualization. The
summit will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the
Kellogg Center in East Lansing.
Following up on
the very successful summit held in December 2010, this
year's event presents an opportunity to learn more about
desktop virtualization technologies, strategies and
products. It is geared toward the needs of chief
technology officers, technologists who develop IT
solutions, and others with active roles in virtualization
and desktop strategies. The agenda will emphasize the
needs of educational, non-profit and government
organizations. Registration is available now at:

Desktop virtualization continues to evolve, while
promising significant improvements in the process of
providing desktop environments for users. In 2011,
implementation and financial aspects remain challenging,
technologies and products are still evolving, and
organizations face difficult choices as they seek reliable
solutions.
The summit on December 7 is an opportunity to learn from
experts, hear from your peers and share your own desktop
virtualization experience and insights. The event will
emphasize stories of real-life implementations (successful
and unsuccessful), roundtable discussion, and the
opportunity to learn about effective products and
services.
The summit is made possible by the contributions of the Merit Community
Supporter organizations. Other organizations
interested in supporting the event may contact learning@xxxxxxxxx
for more information.

We will forward your information to the program committee
for consideration.
