Wireless Networks and Device Proliferation

 As wireless
devices--including smart phones--proliferate on
campuses and within organizations, the wireless
network has become mission critical. The number
of devices per user continues to grow, and IT
managers must expand wireless networks to much
higher densities than in the past. These
phenomena require new approaches to wireless
architecture, new tools to help diagnose
problems, and a new commitment to service
quality. This webinar will discuss the various
strategies for dealing with the proliferation of
wireless devices.
About Dave Mexicotte
Dave Mexicotte is a wireless mobility specialist
for Cisco Systems, a Merit Community Supporter
organization. He has been with Cisco for 12 years
and in the IT industry for 25 years in various
capacities. Prior to joining Cisco, he worked in
Hewlett Packard's server and PC business unit. He
has spoken across the United States on many
networking and computing topics. Dave attended
both Eastern Michigan University and the
University of Michigan and holds degrees in
mathematics, physics and communications.

How
to register and attend
Each free, monthly webinar is delivered via Merit
WebConnect, an online conferencing service.
You can log into the Merit WebConnect webinar
session and view the presentation from your office
or anywhere else that has an Internet connection
(a phone connection may also be required depending
on your computer’s type and capabilities). You can
also listen to the audio by phone, without a
computer connection.
Please register for the October 27 webinar by
using the link below. You will complete a very
brief registration form and then will receive an
email with further instructions. Use this
registration process even through the time of the
webinar, and re-register if you happen to lose the
emailed instructions.
