Reminder: MMC pre-conference workshops

[Merit Network Professional Learning]

This is a reminder of three pre-conference workshops to be held on
Wednesday, June 10, the day before the Merit Member Conference in Ann Arbor.

If you plan to atted the Medianet Architecture or IP Video Surveillance
workshops, please register as soon as possible to ensure adequate
attendance.

The workshops are:

* Medianet Architecture: Design Best Practices for a Media Ready Network
    An in-depth review of the best practices, architectural guidelines
    and design recommendations for designing, deploying and optimizing
    IP networks for rich media delivery.
  9:00 a.m.-noon
  Instructor: William Swartz, Senior Systems Engineer, Cisco Systems

* The Producers in the Library: Production and Development at AADL
    Hear about new AADL products, how they were developed, and
    how staff from across the institution work together to
    release products that expand the reach and the relevance of
    the library to its community.
  1:30-4:30 p.m.
  Instructors: Eli Neiburger, Associate Director for IT and Production,
    and other staff members, Ann Arbor District Library

* IP Video Surveillance: Campus Physical Security Architecture
      and Design Practices
    This workshop will examine considerations in implementing IP
    video surveillance on a converged IP network, including
    network design requirements.
  1:30-4:30 p.m.
  Instructor: Kevin Gibson, Senior Systems Engineer, Cisco Systems

Registration for "Medianet Architecture" and "IP Video Surveillance" is
$60. Registration for "The Producers in the Library" is $15.
