Network Webinar Series
Ready or
Not...IPv6 is Here
John Curran, President and CEO, American Registry for
Internet Numbers (ARIN)
Thursday, August 18, 11:00 a.m. EDT (register)
Last February, the final remaining IPv4 addresses were
divided among the world's regional address registries. The
registries are in the process of assigning those addresses
to network operators, a process that is expected to be
completed within months. After that, there will be no more
IPv4 addresses available from a common global pool. The
coming months will resolve some interesting and
long-unanswered questions about what will happen at this
point, particularly with regard to worldwide adoption of
IPv6, with its vastly larger supply of addresses.
This Thursday please
join a webinar where John Curran, President and CEO of the American Registry
for Internet Numbers (ARIN),
will discuss how organizations should be preparing for the
challenges of IPv4 depletion and IPv6 adoption. He will
discuss best practices for making the transition as
seamless as possible and highlight the key elements an
organization must consider during the IPv6 adoption
process. Finally, John will provide the IPv6 educational
resources available to help networking professionals
prepare for IPv6 and stay up to date with the latest
information about IPv6 deployment.
