ICOMM - Introducing Cisco Voice
and UC Administration v8.0
August 8-12, 2011
Merit Network is pleased to present a foundational course
for those working with Cisco Unified Communication
Manager. ICOMM - Introducing Cisco Voice and UC
Administration v8.0 is a five-day course within
Cisco's voice certification track, focusing on the
essentials of Unified Communications products.

What you'll
learn
This course
prepares you with the knowledge and skills to achieve
associate-level competency in Cisco Unified
Communications. The course introduces the architecture,
components, functions and features of Cisco UC solutions
and describes how daily job tasks, such as system
monitoring, moves, adds, and changes are performed on
Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified
Communications Manager Express, Cisco Unity Connection,
and Cisco Unified Presence. A set of 22 hands-on labs
ensures experience with course skills.
A voucher
for the corresponding certification exam is included with
your registration. Key topics of the course include:
- Components
and characteristics of a Cisco UC solution
- Call flows
and call legs
- Configure
endpoints
- Implement
and configure end users
- Configure
and enable telephony and mobility features
- Configure
end-user voice mailboxes and options
- Configure
Cisco Unified Presence
- Configure
and generate CUCM reports
- Run and
analyze Call Detail Records reports
- Using the
Cisco Call Detail Record Analysis and Reporting (CAR)
Tool
- Using the
Cisco Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT)
- Monitoring
voice mail usage in Cisco Unity Connection
- Configuring
Disaster Recovery System
Scholarships
available
Through the Merit
Professional Learning Scholarship Program,
scholarships are available to cover part or all of the
registration fees for individuals from Merit Member
organizations who have demonstrated financial need.
Scholarship applications must be received by July 8, 2011.

program.

Location,
times and registration
The class will be
held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 8-12, 2011. The
location is Merit's offices at 1000 Oakbrook Drive, Ann
Arbor, Michigan 48104.
Registration for individuals from Merit Member
organizations is $2695 per attendee (versus the course's
standard retail price of $3395). For attendees from
non-profit organizations that are not Merit Members,
registration is $2895. Other non-Members may attend for
$3095. Registration includes an exam voucher for the
corresponding Cisco certification examination, continental
breakfast, beverages and refreshment breaks each day.
