Recap of the 2008 Merit Member Conference

[Merit Network Professional Learning]

The 2008 Merit Member Conference was held on June 12-13 in Ann Arbor, 
preceded by a day of pre-conference workshops. The conference featured 
record attendance as well as a large increase in the number of breakout 
sessions, covering a wide range of subjects in networking, computing, 
information policy, and the application of emerging technologies.

The conference also featured the first annual presentation of the Merit 
Awards, a set of honors recognizing achievements in technology,

Next year's Merit Member Conference will be held on June 11-12, 2009,
