  • SANS Secure Coding in Java/JEE: Developing Defensible Applications
    January 5, - January 8, 2010
    The class will be held Monday through Thursday, January 5-8, 2010, at Merit's offices in Ann Arbor. It will be of value to programmers who want to build more secure applications, as well as to others in the development process who want a deeper understanding of techniques for avoiding security vulnerabilities.

  • Campus LAN Switching: Techniques for Design and Management
    January 13 - January 14, 2010
    (2 Days)
    This two-day class provides an in-depth examination of best practices for switching in Ethernet LANs. Instruction and exercises will help students understand switched LAN technology, maximize the benefits of switching, troubleshoot switching issues, manage switch security, implement VLANs and trunks, and design spanning tree architecture.

  • IP Multicast Workshop: Multicast in a Campus Environment
    February 15 - February 16, 2010
    (2 Days)
    This workshop introduces students to the concept of multicasting on an IP network and presents detailed discussions of the design, operation, and configuration of IP multicasting. Attendees will learn the essentials of multicast protocols including IGMP, PIM, and SSM, plus the operational aspects of using multicast to achieve effective delivery of audio and video over an IP network.
