Are You Safe in the Internet of Things?

MCRCon was held on May 20, 2014, at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. The cybersecurity conference featured prominent industry leaders, important updates about cybersecurity activities, demonstrations of the Michigan Cyber Range, and a daylong Capture the Flag contest held on the Range.

Demonstrations

Throughout the day, the staff of the Michigan Cyber Range demonstrated the capabilities of the range and Alphaville, the secure environment that enables users to practice cybersecurity techniques. Alphaville can be used for live-fire cybersecurity exercises and to practice securing SCADA systems, servers, and a variety of IT environments.

During the program, Kirsten Bay of ISC8, in conjunction with ChoiceTel, presented the results of their Michigan Cyber Range case study. Watch Kirsten Bay's presentation.
