Join Us at Next MJTS Meeting
Please make plans to attend the MJTS meeting on Wednesday, March 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In the southern Lower Peninsula the meeting will be held at a new location: the West Campus of Lansing Community College at 5708 Cornerstone Drive, Lansing, MI 48917. This beautiful facility will provide a very effective setting for the meeting. Read more about the LCC location.
You can also attend in Escanaba at Bay De Noc Community College (Bay College) or in Gaylord at the University Center. The three locations will be joined by video. The multiple locations will help you take part in the interactions that are an important part of MJTS, regardless of where you live and work.

Presentations will include the following and more:
- Brian Paige of Oakland University on the experience of providing support technology for the Republican debate hosted by OU on November 9. The project involved building an extensive wired and wireless network, installing hundreds of phone lines and providing temporary work spaces for the candidates and journalists.
- Mike Richardson from Regional Education Media Center 1 on the shared services and networking that REMC1 provides for many school districts in the Upper Peninsula.
- Fawn Callen of Western Michigan University on WMU's implementation of a 10G link to campus, including reasons for the move and what has been involved in the transition.
- Robert Duncan and Michael Milliken from Merit on the backbone network and the REACH-3MC fiber project. The project is swinging into construction phase, and they will share information about progress, completed sites, equipment and future plans.
As always, MJTS is open only to Merit Member organizations. We encourage you to invite others from your organization to MJTS, especially those who specialize in networking, system administration, and the specialized topics included in the agenda. Registration is free, and we ask that you register in advance.
This meeting will not be webcast, but it will be recorded with videos posted shortly after the meeting.
