Network-Based Interactive Distance Learning: Discussion & Demonstration

Northwestern Michigan College and Merit Network partnered with the Center for Instructional Excellence to present a Friday Forum at the newly renovated Oleson Center on NMC's beautiful campus in Traverse City on Friday, April 13 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Program Included:

A Guided Introduction to Educational Practices in Second Life

Randy Stout - R&D Coordinator for the Kansas Board of Regents provided details on how to use Second Life for educational purposes.

Music Master Class

Live from Cleveland via Internet2 and Merit Network, an instructor from the internationally acclaimed faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music guided Interlochen piano students on site at NMC in a music master class.
