Merit Network is pleased to present "Campus LAN Switching", a two-day class that provides an in-depth examination of best practices for switching in Ethernet LANs. The course will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, January 13-14, 2010, at Merit's offices in Ann Arbor.

This class focuses on key aspects of LAN switching, beginning with the fundamentals and advancing to specific topics in LAN design and maintenance. Instruction and exercises will help students understand switched LAN technology, maximize the benefits of switching, troubleshoot switching issues, manage switch security, implement VLANs and trunks, and design spanning tree architecture.
This class will be of great value to network engineers who need to manage Ethernet LANs in a campus environment or large organization. The workshop provides attendees with hands-on instruction in a small classroom setting so that all students have a thorough understanding of the material at the end of the course.

Instructor Information"Campus LAN Switching" is offered in partnership with Computer Data, Inc., a national provider of
technical training and a Cisco Learning Partner. The course is instructed by Larry Mobley, an expert in Campus LAN Switching. Larry has developed and taught courses on routing and switching for Cisco System Engineers as well for network engineers within enterprise organizations around the world.
Course Cost and RegistrationThe registration fee for attendees from Merit Member organizations is $749. Attendees from non-profit organizations that are not Merit Members may attend for $799. Others may register for $849. Registration includes all training materials, continental breakfast, beverages and snacks. The event will be held at Merit's offices, which are located at 1000 Oakbrook Drive, Suite 200, Ann Arbor, MI 40104.
