Intro & Advanced DNS and BIND Topics (Including DNSSEC)For those looking for a thorough grounding in DNS and BIND, plus advanced topics including DNSSEC, Merit is pleased to welcome the training staff from the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) for their five-day workshop Intro & Advanced DNS and BIND Topics (Including DNSSEC). ISC is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1994 to carry on the work of BIND's creators; today ISC continues to develop and release BIND, currently headed toward BIND version 10. Their experienced trainers will provide students with a solid grounding in basic and advanced DNS topics, focusing on DNSSEC especially.
Register for the Workshop.
The course begins with the content of Introduction to DNS and BIND and adds three days of advanced topics including private addressing in DNS, IN-ADDR, cryptography in DNS, and DNSSEC. The Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is a set of IETF specifications for securing information within DNS. DNSSEC allows DNS clients to authenticate the origin of domain name data, thus improving data integrity. DNSSEC is gradually being adopted and deployed by operators of the top-level domains, and DNSSEC will continue to grow as a standard feature of DNS deployment.
