In the first week of October, Merit Network staff and representatives from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) visited several locations involved in the REACH-3MC fiber-optic network project. The trip covered approximately 790 miles one-way.

Bring-Your-Own-Device Summit 2012
Students, staff, and others are bringing mobile devices with them to college campuses, K-12 schools, and other locations. The growing surge of smart phones, iPads, and laptops is taking up wireless resources and creating new challenges for organizations. The Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) Summit on September 20 featured many presentations and panel discussions on issues related to BYOD.
